Angela Smyth

The youngest child of an Irish immigrant family, Angela’s passion for art was passed on to her by her late father Patrick, who taught her to draw shire horses by the age of 4!
She has no official training, and her beautiful, often quirky, sometimes touching images have been used on many cd covers, in magazines & for commercial work. She has undertaken many private commissions and her original canvases & boards sell out.
Angela works in mixed media, and a single painting may include acrylics, inks, watercolour and anything she can get her hands on!
Finding inspiration in everyday life, Angela carries a sketchbook wherever she goes, taking notes of memorable scenes and occurrences. Many of her paintings include images from around her house and the surrounding area, animals that wander past her window and even her son Alistair (although flying horses have yet to appear in reality!).
Angela lives in a small West Yorkshire village with her husband Chris and their above-mentioned son Alistair. Angela is represented by Cheshire Art Agencies. She has been published by Buckingham Fine Arts
