From an early age Anthony Wyatt has been fascinated by animals. As a child he was always eager to visit zoos and wildlife parks and he has been drawing all his life. His animal studies are all based on real animals that he has seen and observed at length so that he can capture something of their personality in his work. Having combined drawing with a full time job throughout the 80’s and early 90’s Anthony then took the decision to concentrate on his art full time. He and his wife, who have two children, moved to Coedpoeth, the second highest village in Wales, where he now draws full time both for his limited edition prints and to commission. His work can be seen in Galleries around the country and has already attracted a number of collectors - some editions of his earlier works are already completely sold out. He has been closely involved with Chester Zoo and the Asian Elephant
Survival conservation campaign as well as a recent effort to preserve
and protect the White Rhino.
