HISTORY
Born 1966 in Ipswich, Suffolk.
Studied art to A level standard at school until
1984, specializing in ceramics. Trained and
qualified as an architect, 1991.
Since completing full-time education has
attended various ceramics evening classes,
residential throwing courses and anagama wood
firing/kiln building workshops and courses.

ARTIST STATEMENT
I produce work in a contemporary style ranging
from small batch domestic ware through to
decorative pieces of tall vases and large bowls
with more individual finishes. I have a particular
interest in using volcanic slips, glazes and oxides
to produce textures and colours inspired by the
coastal landscape.
My ceramics are all hand thrown on the wheel,
generally in a sanded white stoneware clay, and
electric kiln fired in an oxidised atmosphere to
1240 deg. c (cone 8).
